Lesson video coming soon. The full written lesson is below.
Welcome to Info Business in a Box. Over the next 30 days you will choose an info business model, pin down your expertise and audience, design and validate an offer, build it with AI as your assistant, grow a small audience that trusts you and run your first launch. This lesson shows you how the course works and what is waiting inside the box.
Why an info business?
An info business sells what you know. Not a physical product, not hours on a factory floor, but knowledge packaged so that someone else gets a result faster than they would on their own. A nurse who teaches new nurses how to survive night shifts. An accountant who runs a newsletter for freelance designers. A hobby baker who sells a sourdough troubleshooting course.
The appeal is real: low startup costs, work you can do from anywhere and assets that can be sold more than once. The reality is also real: you still need an audience, a clear offer, honest marketing and ongoing support. “Passive income” is mostly a myth. Leverage is not. That is what this course helps you build.

How to get the most from this course
- Block a daily build hour. Put 45 to 60 minutes on your calendar for the next 30 days. Small daily progress beats heroic weekends, and it keeps momentum when life gets busy.
- Start a launch journal. A simple doc or notebook where you record decisions, ideas, customer quotes, logins and what you shipped each day. You will reuse it in almost every lesson.
- Do the action step before moving on. Each lesson ends with one concrete homework task. Skip it and the next lesson will feel abstract.
- Use AI as an assistant, not a replacement. AI can research, outline, draft and edit. Your lived experience, your examples and your judgment are what make people buy and stay.
- Talk to real people early. The fastest way to a product that sells is conversations with the people you want to help. You will start doing this in Lesson 3.
- Ship before it is perfect. Version one of your offer will be rough. That is fine. Buyers forgive rough edges; they do not forgive products that never exist.
What “done” looks like on Day 30
- A chosen model and a specific audience you can describe in one sentence
- An offer with a clear promise, price and delivery format
- Evidence that real people want it (conversations, a waitlist, pre-sales or pilot clients)
- A working product or pilot, a checkout and a simple sales page
- A lead magnet, an email list and a welcome sequence
- A completed first launch and notes on what to improve
Notice what is not on the list: a revenue target. Launch results vary widely depending on your audience, niche, offer and timing. Your first goal is to learn from real buyers, not to hit a magic number.
I am starting a 30-day project to turn my knowledge into an info business. Here is what I know well: [your skills, jobs, hobbies, certifications]. Here are the people I enjoy helping: [types of people]. Ask me 10 sharp questions, one at a time, that will help me figure out which topic and audience I should focus on. Do not suggest income figures.
New to all of this? The Start Here page and the post on how to start an info business in 2026 are good companions to this lesson.
Today, create your launch journal and put a recurring 45โ60 minute “build block” on your calendar for the next 30 days. On the first page of the journal, write three lists: (1) five things you know well enough to teach, (2) five kinds of people you enjoy helping, and (3) one sentence on why you want to build an info business. Then run the prompt above and paste your answers into the journal. You will use these lists in Lessons 2 and 3.
